I know for sure that my hearing isn't the same as 35 years ago when I bought my first top tier stereo, and I probably can't key-in to the tenor fourth from the right in LvB's 9th, or the fourth harmonic of the triangle in Mahlers 1st. However I hear dynamics and nuances in Peaceful Easy Feeling and Monster Mash that I never got from vinyl!
