I was just checking UPS rates. You can insure a package worth $20,000 for about $70, which is a lot better than the Postal Service (limit $5,000 and over $50 insurance for that).

Am still waiting to hear from anyone who has ever SOLD gold bullion. I am especially interested in hearing about selling it in Canada.

BTW, Kitco does not report gold sales to the United States Government because it is not required to do so.

I think I may go ahead and buy some Euro travelers checks for a stay in Prague next fall. The clown buck might have started to get wobbly by then.

Anyone got a chart of the dollar in its last major decline?
