This seems to be additional information on Shays-Meehan from the Horse's mouth, from what appears to be Senator McCain's "official" website: ...A different version of the Shays-Meehan bill has already passed in the Senate, where it was sponsored by John McCain and Russell Feingold. The House needs to pass Shays-Meehan in a form as close to the Senate bill's as possible. That would allow it to be reapproved quickly in the Senate, perhaps as an amendment to another bill, and also get 60 votes to defeat a likely filibuster by opponents.... straighttalkamerica.com Seems to say that McCain strongly backs this bill. If that is true, that's good enough for me.
