The Iraq sanctions are not being applied in the manner they were intended. The USA is deviously applying the sanctions to disrupt the whole economy of Iraq. Not only that, but disrupting trade to the extent where it's civilians are dying on a massive scale from lack of foodstuffs and medicines.

Some people (you included) on this thread are indignant that the Palestinian terrorists target civilians. You have made one unholy noise to that effect, and that Israel does not openly target civilians. Yet it's ok to deliberately do that in Iraq with selective holds on imports?

I mean that btw. The war in Afghanistan has soaked up a fair amount of USA resources and will. That little side show has not been cleared up yet. Throw in Iraq, Iran, plus some Arab and Muslim sympathies and you have a "situation" on your hands.

It's time to win friends, not make enemies imho.
