Yes the trip to Australia is an expensive transaction cost. Was trying to point out that a few people on this planet can easily use metals as a currency. Jay has pointed out that in HK the banks still deal in metals. I have not asked if the banks in Europe deal with metals. Maybe someone on this thread could tell us if it is easy to use metals as a currency in Europe.

Our CB has made sure that we can not use metals as currency in his banks. Wonder why. <ggg>
