He never claims to be a stock picker. Thats our job. I started subscribing in early 98 and made a fortune with some of the companies he was explaining. I got out in time, when I realized a bubble was forming. He stated it clearly as "feeling the heat of the herd". It was a signal to sell for those who completely read his newsletter. To know Gilder, you must have completely read his newletters for the past 4 years, not take parts of it out of context.
