My impression is that you are relatively new to the thread, so maybe you don't know Pearly or what he stands for and what he believes, but what you said about him is uncalled-for and untrue.

He's not giving Saddam a pass, he's questioning US policy, and this is a good place to raise the questions he's raising.

We all agree that Saddam is a monster, and the world would be a better place without him. Now that we've got THAT out of the way - can we talk about whether the sanctions are a good idea?
