Elmer Re..."The XP which AMD can only make in 10s of thousands is almost as fast as Intel's high volume NWs so that makes things great"<<<<
And I responded with links to JC's AMD 4q CC, which showed Hector stated that AMD shipped ; let me repeat that SHIPPED tens of thousands XP, even though the XP2000 wasn't officially introduced until Jan 2002. Where out of that statement can you conclude that AMD can only make tens of thousands. Why don't you reread Hectors statements, before you start insulting people, and start acting like Monica. Here once again is the link to JC's CC, which you seem incapable of looking up, to see if your statements were correct.
http://www.jc-news.com/parse.cgi?pc/AMD/CC/2001Q4<<<<<< <Dan> Thank you, again, good quarter. Hector, in your opening remarks, you commented right after you commented about microprocessor units at 7.8 million, you made some sort of comment about XP in tens of thousands, can you repeat that please?
<Hector> Yes, in the fourth quarter, we shipped tens of thousands of model 2000 XP.
<Dan> That is the speed grade right.
<Hector> That's right.
<Rob> That would have been our high-end offering that we began shipping in Q4 and actually introduced here in early January. |
