I've been wondering the same thing about index timing. I'm not really sure if it's possible to call every turn on a consistant basis. It's like books on TA. You see a chart with up and down arrows labeled buy and sell. It seems very simple until you actually put money behind the trades. Then you hear some bearish news and then some bullish news. Then you think "It could fall here then I'd lose $xxxx". Next thing you know you shorted the bottom, covered, and went long at the top. Charting looks easy but in reality it's not so simple.

I've started a thread to track who makes good, technical, index calls. If you here of any accurate predictions please let me know.

I know many people on SI have tremendous respect for Don Sew. I've never observed his trades but everyone seems to think he is the man.
