I used to be a part-time coin dealer for about a decade, so I have bought and sold a gold and silver bullion, along with a lot of numismatic coins.

It is no problem to buy and sell bullion coins at local coin dealers, mail order sites, and especially at coin shows. In the good old days bringing a wad of cash to a coin show was the way to go, no fuss, no receipts, no hassles. I'm sure things have changed, because I have not bought bullion in years. It's easier and cheaper to trade gold stocks.
