Petz,

Best Buy had an XP2000 and an XP1900 and many laptops, and most of the P4's advertised were lower end machines.

I actually stopped by Best Buy (in Palisades Mall, near NYC), and AMD presence continues to be poor. Of about 15 to 20 desktops, there were 2 Athlon XP machines, one HP, one Compaq, and the HP one was either not displayed, or hidden under the shelf, only the tag describing it was there.

On laptop side, there were approximately 3 or 4 out of about 15 machines. AMD is well below thier retail market share it had a year ago.

BTW, I would like to know the retail market share numbers. The numbers used to be available. Has anybody seen them?

Joe
