Continued steep decline in short interest...

January short interest figures were just released:

There was a 25% drop in short interest for HDII (from 126,879 to 95,013) from December to January (Short interest dropped to zero on both the HDIIU units and the HDIIW warrants. However, these two had extremely low short interest levels to begin with in December)

Here's the important message: the short interest on HDII is now at its lowest level in well over a year. Moreover, short interest has dropped ~75% since January, 2001 and the ratio of short interest to volume (3.5) is also at its lowest point in over a year.

In short, there's been a huge shift in short selling sentiment towards HDII: from short sellers eagerly scooping up HDII during 2000 and the first half of 2001, to shorts consistently and in large numbers exiting their positions over the past 5 months.

I suspect the indications are growing that sales from the CVProfilor are growing and that there's an ever increasing likelihood that a reimbursement approval will be upcoming (all my opinion).
