Steve, we are seeing a real difference between trading systems and simple predictions.

Here's the secret - I started the thread for two basic reasons. First, a lot of big prediction makers make index and stock calls, cheer when they are right and just never mention those that were wrong again. I wanted to see if anyone could link a series of clear predictions that were mostly right. So far, no one has.

Second, lurkers and newbies should stop and think about all the prediction they read on SI. It's easy to say they should know better but many will follow a loud, repeated voice that sounds like he knows what he is doing and never seems to admit a mistake.

Now we can look at different predictions and predictors (is that right word LG? help me out) and see if they hold up to scrutiny.

I think we have to separate predictions from trading systems, which I fully agree must be flexible to win.
