ATLANTA, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mirant (NYSE: MIR chart, msgs) announced today that it will host a call-in session on fair value accounting for the investor and analyst community on Monday, January 28 at 2 p.m. EST.
During the session, Ms. Angela Nagy, director, accounting strategy, Mirant Americas, will provide overviews and examples of these methodologies. Ms. Nagy led a similar session at Mirant's analyst seminar in November 2001. A copy of Ms. Nagy's November presentation is available at www.mirant.com .
In a separate media release issued today, Mirant also announced that it will host an analyst call at noon EST, January 31, 2002, to discuss fourth quarter and year-end earnings, general corporate updates and future plans for capital spending.
