Anybody familiar with @home's network would know that bandwith is dependent upon how many share a given node. Since this has nothing to do with affecting others on the internet (if computer is idle) your remarks are incorrect. Overall the service appears fine so far...only time will indicate stability long term. The areas that lack HFC upgrades may still get to use the service in tandem with an analog dial-up connection (for the upstream data feed). To me the service would have alot less appeal under those conditions, for others it may offer a temporary file download paradise(forget about video conferencing) while awaiting the HFC upgrade, Good luck to you, Rich
