"Why does Adi Da have to read the books at all?"
That's the point, exactly, he doesn't.
"If He is in fact who he claims to be, then he in fact wrote the books"
There is a difference between the Divine as All and Everything, and the manifestations of the Divine.
"Am I missing something, or did he just read the chapter titles and the forward"
He doesn't read ANY of the book, he just holds it in his hand. What he then has to say about it very clearly shows he understands the ENTIRE content, in depth. Looking at a library of 100,000 books is very different than examining and understanding the content of 100,000 books.
"the only Credible evidence we have about the content of His teachings are contained in the Bible"
By this, Greg, you are saying that this is what you believe. In so believing you are dismissing anything else. Of course that is your prerogative, but why do you insist that your point of view alone is right?
Namaste!
