Peritus IPO Soars on Year 2000 Concerns. dbc.com ------ Excerpt: Larry Vale, director of marketing and communications for Keane, confirmed his company is testing Peritus software at client sites but hasn't used it long enough to comment on its usefulness. But Ciber's Jon Scarpelli, senior vice president of technology, said the Peritus software is "far and away the best tool" he's found for locating potential problems and correcting them. "I've looked at all the tools out there that have gotten all the hype ... and it's all just hype," Scarpelli said.
