"I consider this an APPRECIATION of Jesus. However, it is not contained in the bible. Does that make it false?"

If I consider you to be a 500 lb Gofer would that make it false.

If we agree on what five hundred lb's are and we know what a Gofer is, then yes, It's false that you are a 500 lb Gofer. If there is only one scale that we can measure pounds with, (let's call it the bible), then saying "I weigh five hundred pounds" Is meaningless. How would you possibly know absent the scale?

What shall I do with Jesus? This is the question all who want to be known as spiritually enlightened, must deal with. Few have the nerve to come out and say that they totally disagree with the teachings of Christ, so instead they reinterpret His teachings in light of their own peculiar set of beliefs. That is exactly what Adi Da has done. Adi Da goes so far as to presume to speak for Jesus, words that contradict what we already know Jesus to have spoken. Jesus spoke of sin and hell and forgiveness for sin through an atoning sacrifice. It seems Adi Da decided to leave that out of his birthday message. I guess he didn't want to spoil the party.

If I hand you a coke bottle filled with poison will the label on the bottle protect you from the poisons effects? If not, then neither will claiming to be one with an imaginary Jesus.
