Could it well be that many of the S/W flaws in Microsoft's products is directly attributable to this?

I think that the proposition "Microsoft code is buggier" has yet to be proven, popular as it is to state.

I've used Linux, Netscape, Unix, CorelDraw, Wordperfect, Mac OS (before v.8) and none of these systems struck me as particularly less buggy than the similar M$ offering.
