Brook,

I have never seen your CI indices so high with such a mediocre market. Can you remember that ever happening? Maybe this disconnect in complacency is a premonition of impending market crash or maybe even melt up. In really short term, market may go up tomorrow no matter what AG does. He lowers quarter point, market always like that, he stays neutral means he sees economy getting stronger, market likes that too, thus the high complacency. It is tempting to short right now, especially if market goes up after AG announces decision. Let VIX hit July 2001 low then short at close tomorrow or mid day Wednesday. That is my plan anyway. Having said that, none of it will happen and probably just the opposite will.
