The big battle has already been won; i.e. the victory over satan and eternal separation from God . The victory over sin and unrighteousness. Redeemed by the blood of the lamb.
Then you hear of all these Christians and tragedies, cemeteries full of Christians who've died of cancer. Oh yea its still about sin. None righteous , no not one, among us . God sees a sparrow fall; how much more one of His own children. Truth is most of us should go via the grave not the rapture; let me tell you a secret; I know not when the rapture is. Do you know ?
Well why pray for anyone / Lets just say we are wasting our time. We're all going to die anyway right .Gods in control . Right . His will be done. Why should we make a difference ? Pray or not. Will we add a day to anyone's life.? God is in control.
Devout, Christians . Full of cancer. What's the use. Good Christians . Good men. Good women. Its their time or God wouldn't take them. So why should we pray. Hard working people. Church workers. Would God really take them and leave the spouse to raise 3 or 4 children. Good family men and women; church people . Upright citizens. No criminal records. Members of the Quota Club, Rotary Club..What good is our prayer. These are God's people. Why pray....

Before you ask me to pray for another person maybe I should tell you a few mental exercises I go through to prepare myself for intercession.
Lets say its a sweet little ole grandmother; prettiest blue eyes , hair white as snow; polite manners, sips her tea, just an angel right. , wrong. You see she has a problem. She is ill. If she could have healed herself she would have done so. If she trusted God completely she would ask God to heal her and He would . No questions. Family has tried. Still she is ill. So somehow the request gets here. Why did the request get here. Somewhere along the way God could have ; should have healed her or the request would have been unnecessary by the time it reaches us.
So I just figure something is wrong, cause everyone along the way is pleading with God for sweet precious little ole granny who never hurt a fly; but God doesn't answer; heaven is sealed tight , rock hard...
So it gets to me ; I start praying. I figure that my bible says that Christ is our heavenly advocate; says that Lucifer is still the accuser; says that Christ still pleads with the father; The Holy Spirit groans in agony as He interceeds. What is going on . ? I thought God was in control.
Well He is and He is turning down request after request , after request, cemetaries are filling up with good Christian people that have died and gone on. But my bible says that many die prematurely. What is going on.
First thing is that I'm not here to decide which should die prematurely or on time . I'm not here to decide which have sinned and brought it on themselves or its just their time.
I'm going to assume that all are dying prematurely and that all have sinned and brought it on themselves. So if I offend anyone with my prayers that just saves me a lot of time in trying to decide. I'm going to give everyone my best shot; and equal status. Come to me for prayer and you are already in the same boat as a convicted death row inmate. I'm going to plead for your soul, I'm interceding that God grant mercy to the vile, dispicable person that you are. You are not worthy of the scraps that the dog get's off the master's table in my book. I'm asking God to spare you from certain death, a deserved death because there is still nothing worth saving in you . And when I pray for myself I pray the same way for myself; and I truly believe it. No. I've never been convicted of a felony. But I was a very rotten rebellious big party animal, party 5 nights a week, drink that booze so you dont remember how big a fool you made of yourself the night before. Anything that took you away from God was numero uno. Golf , sports, alcohol, cigaretts, women, dancing, money , business, cars.
I guess my point is that by applying this make up to everyone I pray for I get the ones that no one else would save. Is God listening. Yes He is. And there is in the final analysis only one argument that can be put up before Him that will sway His mind. We are miserable , dirty , sinful creatures and without a FRESH blood covering applied EVERY Day to our lives; we are totally helpless to help ourselves. Did not the priests offer up daily sacrifices under the Law. Our High Priest i.e. Christ is not offering up ritual animal sacrifices daily but you better bet your last dollar that Christ ; is daily reminding God of the sacrifice He made and if He ( Christ ) ever stopped i. e reminding God daily we would all perish,still.
