John,
I will take a shot at this q&a with jacob. There is just too much money to be made, and to clear a remembrance of the boom portion of the boom and bust cycle we are concluding, for the last mile not to be lit. All that is shot is this year. I believe that some of the baby bells are under progressive management and will move aggressively at some time in the near future. The earliest would be end 2002 or beginning 2003. And if the baby bells do not lead the charge others will get into this business again. All bets are off of course if recession drags on thru 2002. mike
