Yes, it could go into the 20s, where it was in July of last year. But I question whether the fundamentals and the uncertain economic outlook would really support that kind of blind optimism. The valuations are too high now. But who knows? If the omniscient, beneficent one looking over all, AG, did something welcomed by the market, or if the leading economic indicators turned up strongly, I suppose the VIX could move briefly down into the 20s.
