Paul,
First, probably you should have posted this on G&K thread. I don't see a point of critiquing the guys behind their back. I believe they can stand for themselves.
But, since you addressed your message to me, I'll answer.
>Is anybody on the G&K thread making any money on the G&K picks?
Yes. I am. Do you want a laydown of my buys and sells?
>Since it's been difficult to lose money >(so far anyway -g-) with any Buffettology >(i.e Buffett) stocks from this thread though, >I count my blessings I'm not a G&K adherent.
Yes??? How about KO @ 80, G @ 60, MRK @ 90? Anybody who bought these true-blue Buffett stocks at these prices and has a profit?
It's the same with G&K. You give links to their 2K portfolio, yet you (intentionally?) omit their 1999 portfolio that still has quite a good gain: siliconinvestor.com I believe it beats S&P and QQQ.
Anyway, since I'd like to get something constructive from this exchange, I'll claim that G&K without valuation - as Buffettology without valuation - is rather risky proposition. That's why I play G&K with the same value criteria as I play other stocks.
So I agree with your critique of buying QCOM at current price, but I disagree with the dismissal of G&K CONCEPT just because most of the G&K stocks are currently overvalued. I own EMC and INTC if you want to discuss two examples that I believe to be undervalued. We can even discuss them on this thread.
Good luck
