That's right Marty, you cannot trust anyone anymore.

Everyone from Clinton, to Michael Porter (of Harvard Business School), to Henry Waxman, have their own agendas to endorse or to oppose anything.

Are we all getting cynical? Of course we are, after the 90's and after all the freak shows we have all capital hill, we have to start trusting ourselves.

None of the above 3, and there are many others, will ever achieve greatness, the kind that will have them remembered as noteworthy Americans. They might get wealthy selling speeches and books to the uninitiated among us, but these are books to be thrown into land fills as time passes.

Let's get back into basic investing. Basic industries, drugs, rails, airlines, semis, and foods. Forget the multi everything, and anything mumbo jumbos, even GE, which has a new CEO, following Jack Welch. Now, who can repeat what Jack did? That "history" alone will crush the new guy.
