Well, infiniband is better suited to hooking boxes together, not chips. As in network boxes? In addition, it's really complex because it is trying to solve a more complex problem. HT is pretty simple, especially in comparison. It doesn't take up much space on a chip, and it doesn't require a lot of power. So is the article correct that HT may well become the predominate choice for high end servers and networks.......wouldn't they require the more complex Infiniband? ted
