This disclosure on the partnerships is like a water torture. The FT list identifies a lot of entities, but not the human beings hiding behind these corporate entities. The real dirt is the list of super-patriot American citizens, most of them Republicans, who have used these devices to hide profits of off shore tax havens with the explicit purpose to evade income taxes. This is the real crime we need to get to the bottom of. And the accountants and off shore banks will have done their absolute best to try to hide this information completely.

The Senate Energy Committee met today, and aside from LJM2, they talked about some newer partnerships I was previously unaware of. Like Yosemite, and Big Doe. There's about 3,000 of these tax evasion machines to be investigated. A pretty daunting task. I wonder if Paul O'Neil's Treasury Department is up to the task. Sorry, just kidding.... <gg>
