the results Elmer showed us are for an i850 RDRAM system, which is now almost impossible to find. With DDR, I'd expect the results to be about equal in SPECint. Second, TBred is supposed to have additional IPC enhancements and I expect that the MHz ramp for TBred will more than match the Northwood until the end of the year. Sorry to break the news to you Petz but Intel won't be standing still. They are no doubt already stockpiling 2.4GHz parts and shrinks are surely in the works as we type. 2.4GHz+ can't be far behind and with the rumored 533MHz fsb the performance gains will be more than enough to stay well ahead of anything AMD can produce in token numbers.
