As recently as early December of 2001, Ashok Kumar was still insisting that FC will die because pre-standard iSCSI is cheaper and slower, pre-standard 10Gbps ethernet -- at $38,000 a port -- is just around the corner, and pre-standard Infiniband has been pushed back by a few years.<g>
