I am not trusting of authority figures at all. I don't trust government at all. In general, I must say I distrust the Democrats more than the Republicans because the Democrats are more overtly (and covertly) about expanding government's role and powers. But be that as it may, I don't spend any more time gnashing my teeth about it than really seems to be useful. Life is too short, I have way too many other things I'm more interested in, and the world is going to be full of winners and losers no matter who I chose to eat myself up with resentment over. So I just don't it. Do I sleep better than you? I guess I do. I thoroughly despised Bill Clinton, and I never once stayed up at night broiling my guts out over him...impotently, uselessly. I guess I just lacked the ability to take his mendacity and corruption personally. (Now see? I can handle your patronizing without resorting to silly threats.)
