Jacob & Thread,
How does all this spending on the military and homeland defense--two items we know will be fully funded, affect the market in general and tech in particular and amat in even a narrower sense. What i took a way from Bush's speech is that he desparately wants to get the economy going again strongly before we undertake the possible wars/military actions we may be taking in Iraq, Iran and North Korea. Bush said the war would probably be still on when his successor is in place(7 years) albeit that it will be mostly won. At least 8 more years of war/homeland defense will have a definite impact on the economy. Any ideas on how? Mike
