I am oddly flattered by this. My British education, with its heavy focus on punishment for failure, gave me a fair command of spoken and written English. People mistake this for wisdom or insight. It's sort of like mistaking someone who can draw a perfect freehand circle for an accomplished artist.

Unfortunately in real life I am iconoclastic, often scruffy (though I clean up well on occasion) and usually sport a 48 hour stubble (laziness - not style).

Oh, by the way, the recession is ending here - see my previous post. The American consumer is about to mosey merrily along to ever more impressive heights of indebtedness and consumption. This process shall continue 'til 2010 or so, when demographics will prove our undoing (via the Baby Bust Generation).

Well I have a container arriving today from Shanghai, so shall be busy for a while.

Regards,

Mike
