Investors are also getting nauseous from the roller coaster ride the market
is giving us. I have to comment on this market volatility. I would like to
refer to Qlogic (QLGC), which we happen to own. QLogic is in the S&P 500.
It was down 70.08% in the first quarter of last year. In the second quarter
of last year, QLogic was up 186.4% (it was the number one performer in the
S&P 500 for the quarter). In the third quarter of last year, it was down
70.05% and in the fourth quarter, it was up 134.3%. So, it just shows you
how volatile stocks are. It's a roller coaster market out there. With all
this volatility, the only thing we can do is buy better fundamentals than
the underlying market and get diversified, which is exactly what we have
been doing. Fundamentals did not drive the market last quarter, but they did
work in the third quarter and they should be working right now. We are very
confident that our fundamentals will help shore up our stocks soon. from Navellier .com
