Dorsal appears to be a convenient unamplified fiber's throw from Corvis in Columbia, MD.

Its Chief Technology Officer, Bo Pederson, was an executive engineer at Corvis. I couldn't find any other obvious relationships at the management levels of Corvis and Dorsal.

Do we care that its CEO, Jim Bannantine, was CEO for Enron South America, worked for Enron for eleven years and only left last month?

I sure hope this is a good move for Corvis. It's not completely clear to me how Corvis benefits - I assume Dr. Huber isn't trying to be another Global Crossing??
