Just to share some personal experience: this morning I sold ASND LEAPS (bought 2 weeks ago) when the stock was run up with tremendous momentum. I found out later that I got the highest bid of the day even the underlying stock closed higher than at the time when I placed the sell order.

Thus, it appears that the market dynamics/directional momentum plays an important role in setting option prices; things are far from the cut-and-dry stuff defined by Black Scholes equation.
