From my memory (so anyone should feel free to correct any mis-statements)

Corvis recently stated that they expected to have about $500 million in cash at the end of 2002 based on current estimates for 2002's "cash burn rate".

Today's $90 Million deal in stock should bring the number of outstanding shares issued to somewhere near 400 million. With these issues in mind, I wouldn't use $2/share as a basis for cash, I would use a figure of about $1.25/share as a "comfortable" number when trying to put a value on the company.

For what it's worth.....
