John T., when you say heating degree days are below last year, do you really mean it has been warmer? Many moons ago when I was working forecasting methods for heating oil I knew what all that stuff meant. But old age has taken its toll and I may be asking a dumb question. If so, forgive the old goat.

The mean for the last 8 years is -136, so this week is about -20% from the mean. Since the temp is down 25%, we may have had a +5% draw adjusted for temps. That is about in line with the 3% average increase in consumption forecast by Simmons and others.

So, it seems to be a neutral statistic if my thinking is correct. BWDIK.
