Hardly, but nice try, you old goat! LOL
It isn't widely known outside our historical circles, BUT... Oregon shipped more gold to & thru the San Fran assay office than did all of California during the fabled gold rush of the last century. And we have this historical stats in the various state geology department pubs as well as private historically preserved collections to back up that "boast." Remember, in THOSE days, the gold had to go through one of 12 sets of assay offices hands acc'd to law. The facts are both on this end, the shipping manifests and foundry shipments end as well as on the receiving end as to where the gold came from that they---the Californicators claim was all theirs--in the history books in all 3 states! Alaska's gold went to Seattle for the most part, and ours primarily went south.
Ditto Oregon mined and shipped more than was pulled out during the Klondike rush as well.
Oregon and our wonderful BIG stash of the yellow keeps Kinross and PDG and MK coming back for more. Trust me, the big boys know we are here, and where the yellow is as well. And if gold is ever needed in huge quantites again, OR stands ready to ship s'more when called for.
I've spent time in the statistical records which were carefully tracked by an early Oregon statistician and published weekly in publications such as our famous Blue Mountain news...a Wall Street Journal sized pub that came out daily back during our rush.
Why do you think I'm here? Because I love rattlers? Or can't find what I'm looking for?
E for effort tho', EC!
Next gust?
