The Brady Group wanted a three-day background check
on people who bought guns at gun shows.
Bush and Ashcroft wouldn't support it.
W gets big donations from the National Rifle Association.

James Brady was shot when Ronald Reagan was shot.
Brady never recovered fully. He suffered severe
injuries. His wife and others got involved with
gun control.

The gun shows: It's crazy. These people show up at
gun shows and buy guns. I've heard that you can
even buy pamphlets at the gun shows that
tell you how to make a bomb. Terrorist groups
have friends or others buy guns.
Then, they ship them out of the country. Sometimes,
the FBI catches them. And sometimes the FBI doesn't!
