regarding the ms security rollup package, i just installed the express option that detects which files are needed and downloads only them.... "Express Installation This installation option detects your system components to determine what files are needed. It then downloads only those files that are necessary to update the destination computer, thus requiring an internet connection during the installation. It is recommended for end users with a single system or small number of systems who have already installed Service Pack 2 on their computers and wish to reduce their download time." so far so good. :) mark
