"Savage Acts of Allied Soldiers"...

I have a LOT to say about that article, Solon. This is yet a further attempt by the reconstructionists to portray a war that was pure black and white (good and bad) into a canvas of dull gray. A number of the "atrocities" cited were not that at all, but rather prudent and easily defendable actions. Only the ultra-naive would be "surprised" by anything in this report. But I am truly outraged by this continuing assault upon the memory of the hundreds of thousands of Allied soldiers that gave up their lives in the most noble of causes.

Unfortunately, I am about to leave on a trip and do not have the time for a full response. Hopefully I will be able to challenge this report in detail about two weeks from now, even though it may not be timely then.

Thanks for calling this material to our attention. It does demand vigorous response.
