| Earlie, some casinos just have a very low tolerance for anyone who might beat them out of some dough. Some places actually use count analyzing software (in the old days, they'd just hire a reformed counter or two) to review play of players who use large bet variations, unusual strategy play, or who are just winning big or consistently. If they determine you're a "threat" to win over a certain amount/hour, they send a guy down, usually tell you something like "we've been watching your play, you're too good for us. You can play any other game in the casino, but no more blackjack". That's called a back-off, and is usually fairly polite. If you continue to frequent their blackjack tables, though, the next stable is usually an "86" where you're read the Nevada "Tresspass Act"...if you get caught again, they'll try to detain you and bring the police in to arrest you. Needless to say, this is not the goal of any counter in Vegas! Of course, they don't tend to "backroom" counters anymore (a la the movie "Casino"), 'cause these are corporately owned entities by and large and the resulting lawsuits are bad for business. |
