Why would I exclude defense from boats? I live in a state which derives an enormous amount of income from defense. The money spends like any other money. Fiber optic only looks dead because it backed off from unprecented growth. As for textiles, you might ask yourself why it is that we have such high tariffs against textiles from countries like Pakistan. In whose interest does that serve? Do yourself a favor and check out who is lobbying for such tariffs and find out what states they are from. Furnature is far from dead.
