(NasdaqNM:CTXS - news) on Thursday named Stephen Dow as chairman of the U.S. specialty software group and said it was authorizing another $200 million in share buybacks.
Dow, 46, a venture capitalist who has been a Citrix director since 1989, will take over the chairman's slot after the company's annual meeting in May.
The current chairman, Roger Roberts, 57, will not seek re-election when his term runs out in May, Citrix said in a news release.
Citrix also said it planned to use the new $200 million authorization to buy back its own shares in the open market.
Citrix closed off 22 cents at $17.23, near its 52-week low of $16.56 and less than half its 52-week high of $37.19. |
