Nobody wants to "hear" the economy will continue to contract. I think WS wants to soothe investors fears by saying the recovery is around the corner and NOW is the time to buy. . Of course the last GDP numbers (heavily weighted with government spending & finance incentives) gives needed ammunition for that argument. But personally, I think I see a protracted trading range in the major indices for a looooooong time, with some major downward spikes (and recoveries)
