Hello all,
To all that have good things to say about Jb OXFORD.
I started out with a live broker at JB. In one years time following his advice my account was DOWN 30%. That particular year the dow was UP 30%. He also bought a stock for my account THAT WENT BANKRUPT. I could put up with this but THE BROKER SHOULD OF DONE THE FOLLOWING.
1. He should have sold the stock at a loss before it became worthless.
2. He should have had the GUTS to call me and explain the situation. He did not do this!!!
3. He was very reluctant to buy less than 1000 shares at a time. In other words this was how JB or the broker made out on the orders. My way of trading is to set half my position at a certain price and then increase the position if the stock goes lower.
4. I set up an IRA with them. After approximately one year they couldn't get a Mutual Fund transfered so I ended up selling the Fund and sending them the cash.
5. They have a miscellanous charge of $23.00 for any options that expire and the stock is called. This is in addition to the $23 fee for executing the order.
6. I have set a trade of the same stock with JB FIRST and another broker at a later time the same day. The other broker filled and jb did not!!!!!!!
7. The live broker has forgotten to place an order.
8. When JB started computer trading I immediately started using it and things got a lot better but the internet trading at JB sucks. It takes to long to get signed on and make a trade.
9. When I decided to close my account I did a partial transfer of some of the stocks because MNPI was bought out and I wanted to submit the stock for the tender offer. JB did not transfer the stock. This is still in LIMBO.
If you have had good luck at JB by all means stay there but as of next week I am out of there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At this time I have accounts at ETRADE, PACIFIC BROKERAGES and DATEK.
One thing that is positive about JB is they will send checks to you very quickly.
I hope this didn't bore you to death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
