Tito, and other Option traders, a little help?
I called my broker this morning before the opening to pick up 2 contracts of Jan 04 60 calls. He told me that his system was showing 6 to 6 1/4. I told him to put in a buy order for 6. It got filled quickly. Now I'm looking at the chart for today, and see that it never shows higher than 6, and was about 5 1/2 at the open. Did my broker rip me on purpose, or should I have known to put in a buy order at 5 1/2 given that the last trade was at 5 the day before?
