Thursday, Jan 31, 2002 Fed adds $9.25 bln bank reserves by overnight repos - Reuters Securities - 10:16 am Fed added $6.0 billion reserves by 28-day repos - Reuters Securities - 8:58 am Wednesday, Jan 30, 2002 Fed added $7.25 billion reserves by 2-day repos - Reuters Securities - 10:02 am Fed adding reserves by 2-day fixed system repos - Reuters Securities - 9:33 am Tuesday, Jan 29, 2002 Fed refrains from 9:30 a.m. open market operation - Reuters Securities - 9:49 am D) A ground tremor before the big one? E) All of the above? F) Since the averages are back to where they were nothing happened? I guess its just another UnBelievable observation but it seems quite alarming that there does not appear to be much concern that for no apparent reason the market had a mini-crash on Tuesday that "got fixed" on Wednesday and Thursday. I guess if most peoples' heart stopped for 30 seconds on Tuesday but seemed OK on Wednesday and Thursday that people would ignore that as well. Isn't it clear that we are in a paper boat sailing down a wide, deep, and swift river? I checked it out when I was taking a bath. Paper does not hold up well in water.
