Intel was over a year behind AMD to copper, Intel was over a year behind AMD to DDR, Intel looks close to two years behind AMD to SOI.

Intel was 3 years behind Infineon to 300mm wafers.

Intel has always been known as the company with OK designs and leading edge production. Now they've become the company with OK designs and trailing edge production technology.
