Sorry for ruining the cheerleading by asking tough questions.

Actually, your questions aren't very tough at all. In fact, they are better indicators of an out and out novice who's best ignored until he / she / it develops a basic understanding of the sector.

Chip equipment stocks are best buys when P/Es etc are at their highest. i.e. - they're cyclical. almost like clockwork, on about a 4 year cycle, sales and earnings fall off a cliff. Earnings disappear and prices fall; but the ratios go up.

Chips are still the leading creator of innovation throughout the economy. As such this sector has grown faster than the economy as it permeates more areas of the economy. That trend remains strong.

So far your non-contributions make you quite worthy of being ignored. I'm quite likely to use SI's feature to do that task automatically in the very near future.
